Anyone familiar with proper nutrition is already aware of the need to remain properly hydrated. What most people don't know, however, is that hydration can also play an important role in discovering how to get rid of pimples and is an essential acne treatment.

Increase your water intake!
Did you know that healthy skin maintains water stores of somewhere around 12%? Maintaining this amount of water in the skin, balanced with healthy fat, can help you to prevent acne. Of course, to ensure that quantity of water you will have to consume a couple quarts or more of water each day. If you're below that amount now, you should definitely increase your water intake to properly hydrate your body, which can ultimately help you get rid of pimples.
Water is one of the key acne treatments because it removes toxins that can accumulate in your cells and blood by increasing the amount of urination and the activities of the sweat glands. Toxins are removed when we urinate, and when we sweat. It is just a simple fact that the cleanliness of our blood has a direct relationship to the cleanliness of our skin the cleaner our skin is, the less likely we are to suffer from acne. As you begin to consume more water, keep in mind the benefits of using containers made of glass. It is pretty counterproductive to drink only distilled and purified water when we drink it from plastic bottles since the plastic contains chemicals that often end up in the water we drink. There are, of course, other sources of water as well. There are high concentrations of water in both fresh fruits and vegetables, which can go a long way toward meeting your water needs. You can even make your water healthier by adding nutrients to it. A few drops of Alkalife will change the acidity of the water and add both potassium and sodium. You can also add lemon to your water, and then bolster its acne fighting powers by adding powdered MSM. The MSM increases skin flexibility and nutrient movements, while improving bowel and peristaltic activity. Mangosteen can be added to the water as a general tonic and constipation preventative. And, of course, you can also choose to flavor your water to make it more palatable! Drinking water with any of these additives can help to promote healthier skin and stave off acne occurrences.

Let the sun shine!

Or, more particularly, let it shine on you! Many people are completely unaware of the acne healing powers of the sun and its ability to help you get rid of pimples. The sun's rays provide nutrition-rich natural light that is one of the key acne treatments to healthy skin and, indeed, better overall health as well.
Allowing your face to receive sufficient fresh air and sunshine promotes healing of the skin and body. Of course, you don't want to just sit out under the direct light of the sun skin cancer is not a suitable alternative to acne! However, being outside in the shade and open air will enable sufficient sunlight to reach you, while allowing your pores to breathe the fresh air. Don't overdo it...
A twenty minute to half an hour daily excursion into the great outdoors is adequate, and will provide you with the fresh air and Vitamin D that you need for healthy skin.
